Moving applications off end-of-life platforms. We assess each application on its merits – rehost, replatform, rearchitect or retire – rather than applying one strategy to the whole estate.

Ongoing support, enhancement and maintenance for applications you own. L1 to L3, incident and problem management, release coordination and a monthly report that shows what actually happened.

Functional, regression, performance and load testing, with automation where the suite will be run often enough to pay for itself.

How a modernisation engagement usually runs

Portfolio assessment
Every application in scope gets rated on business criticality, technical health, cost to run and cost to replace. The output is a ranked list, not a narrative.

Disposition decision
For each application: rehost, replatform, rearchitect, replace or retire. With the cost and risk of each option written down so the decision is yours to make.
- 03
Pilot
We take one application – usually a mid-complexity one, not the easiest – all the way through. It proves the approach and produces a realistic estimate for the rest.
- 04
Wave delivery
The remaining applications in waves, with the pilot's lessons folded in. Each wave ends in production, not in a staging environment.
- 05
Steady state
Support transitions to a named team with documented runbooks. If you want to bring it in-house, we plan for that from the start.
A note on rewrites
Full rewrites fail more often than they succeed, and they fail expensively. We will propose one only when the alternative is genuinely worse – and when we do, we will show you the analysis that led there. More often the right answer is a targeted replatform that buys five years and costs a fraction.
